Final project for Design Realization course during the Fall 2016 semester.
Markets, Innovation, and Design (MIDE) major was established at Bucknell University about 4 years ago. For our culminating design project, we wanted to look critically at the MIDE major and propose improvements. As a class, we launched several research probes targeting different groups to get a better understanding of their perceptions of MIDE.
1. Stakeholders were unaware of MIDE.
2. MIDE students wanted more professional development.
3. MIDE students were having trouble explaining the depth of their major.
WHAT I DID:
I proposed Bounce, a MIDE creative agency course. This experiential course would go beyond a traditional student-run ad agency role. Instead, students would provide creative solutions for local business and campus organizations. The agency would be primarily organized by the students, who would all take on different roles in engaging with clients and implementing ideas. We presented this course to the School of Management Dean and several professors, who expressed interest.
